Open the hut to discover sweet treats

Sitting on my drive way at number 21 Pilgrims Way, the hut is a honest box of baked goodies! Each week I try to craft a menu of classic favorites and exciting new concepts! The week days leading up to the hut your able to preorder your treats, though walk ups are always welcome! The hut is also home to the Trinket Trove - a bring one take one trove of small toys and fidgets; it's always a joy to see how much children love the mystery of what might be in the trove from week to week.

Where to park

Please try to park on the bottom road rather than driving up directly to The Hut - it can get very busy and the last thing I want to do is upset any neighbors

Feel free to park where illustrated below (red driveway, Number 37) and walk up the road, it's less than 45 seconds walk from here!

Driving directions

On Pilgrims way if entering from Strood end, drive down until you see a fork in the road with a red driveway - drive down this private road and we're towards the end. If coming Cuxton bound, drive slightly up the road "Petchart Close" and then right away turn right up a steep smaller road.

Never miss a hut day

The hut only opens on set dates, and the bakes go quickly. Leave your email and we'll send you a reminder on the day itself, so it doesn't slip past you.

One email per hut day. Unsubscribe any time from the link in the email.

Before your first visit

Do I have to preorder, or can I just turn up?

Walk-ups are always very welcome. Preordering during the week guarantees your favourite bakes, as popular treats can sell out quickly on busy days.

How do I pay at the Hut?

Scan the QR code in the hut with your phone camera and pay there and then. There is also an honesty cash box if you would rather pay with cash. Preorders are paid online when you reserve, so there is nothing to settle on collection.

Where should I park when visiting?

To respect our neighbours, please park on the main bottom road by the red driveway (Number 37) and take the 45-second stroll up the private lane to Number 21. Please do not drive large vehicles up the narrow private drive.

Do you cater for gluten-free or vegan diets?

Yes. We regularly bake gluten-free brownies and vegan options, and every item carries clear allergen labelling on its packaging.

Is the Hut food hygiene rated?

Yes. The Brownie Edit holds a 5 (very good) food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency, given by Medway council on 20 February 2024. You can check it yourself on the FSA register.

What is the Trinket Trove?

The Trinket Trove is a place to come and swap your teeny treasures for new ones. Tiny toys, bracelets, keyrings, stickers and figures all count — as long as it is small, clean and unbroken. You will find the Trove at the end of the drive.

What time does the Hut open and close?

Each Hut date carries its own opening hours. They are published here and on the Hut page as soon as the date is set, and the Hut stays open until the walk-up bakes sell out.

How much do the bakes cost?

Most single bakes are £3.50, with larger slices, boxes and seasonal specials priced individually on the menu.

That's the whole thing. Come on down.
